I love adventure stories like The Legend of Zelda or books by Jules Verne. Stories that invite you far above or below ground to face strange beasts or unearth mysterious cities are my absolute favorite. Here, I drew some concept art for a personal project I have been nursing since my time in high school and want to realize more and more as time goes on.

Somewhere in the wilderness are Hollow Plains, regions where the earth heaved itself upward and cracked open, curling itself inward and outward over and over as centuries pass. Ancient cities full of treasure sink beneath the ground’s surface and underground monsters claw their way up to taste the sun-touched air.

I want to write and draw a story with that sort of setting.
